The facts of illegal export to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan of 5.8 thousand cubic meters of softwood lumber with an estimated value of about 36.5 million rubles were revealed by officers of the Irkutsk customs.

The smuggling of lumber of unknown origin-pine and Siberian larch-was organized by a group of individuals. The adversaries entered into foreign trade contracts through three companies under their control, registered in the Irkutsk region. Fictitious contracts for the purchase and sale of goods were provided during customs declaration, confirming the right to own, use and dispose of exported wood. According to these facts the Irkutsk customs launched three criminal cases against two individual entrepreneurs and LLC under part 1 of article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
