“Green corridor” project implementation issues discussed with Morocco delegation

On July 29, 2019, the Third Russian and Moroccan meeting of experts for issues of the implementation of “Green corridor” project, stipulated by the Protocol between Federal Customs Service of Russia and the Administration of customs and indirect taxes of Morocco concerning the exchange of preliminary information of products transmitted between Russia and Morocco dated October 11, 2017, took place in Federal Customs Service of Russia.

Officials from Directorate of customs cooperation, Main directorate of registration and customs control, Main directorate of information technologies and Directorate for customs risks control took part in the meeting on Russian part.

Moroccan delegation consisted of the representatives from the Administration of customs and indirect taxes, Autonomous organization for control and coordination of export, National office for sanitary safety of food products of the Directorate of strategy and statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture as well as the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Moscow.

In the course of the meeting, participants addressed issues requiring solution for the purposes of practical start-up of “Green corridor” project. Particularly, the parties successfully conducted checkout of preliminary information exchange channel as part of the project. Besides, in order for the participation in “Green corridor” at the first stage of its practical start-up, customs services agreed one Moroccan and five Russian participants of foreign economic activity corresponding to the projects terms and conditions.

Within the framework of the meeting, the participants also discussed the project for Protocol between Federal Customs Service of Russian and the Administration customs and indirect taxes of Morocco concerning cooperation, exchange of information and mutual aid as part of unified system of tariff preferences of Eurasian Economic Union. The parties agreed to make their best to complete approving the document and ensure its signing as soon as possible.
